S21 Ultra poor battery life

Hi all,

Just wanted to find out whether my battery drain was normal! I have been using the phone for a week now, and there has been absolutely no improvement. I also no longer have a message within the battery menu telling me that it's still learning my usage patterns. 

The screenshot below shows today's usage. I even charged the phone a little more mid-way but am still only getting around 4.5 hours screen on time at 12%. I don't believe I've been doing anything on the phone that explains the short screen on time. Nothing intensive.

Just writing this has lost me a further 4%! Anyone else had this experience?

No problem, i get where you're coming from. My main browser is Chrome aswell, i've tried changing to Samsung Internet and can confirm it doesn't drain as much battery however i still do find myself switching back to Chrome as i'm so used to the UI😬

Exactly! I can't see myself moving away from Chrome at all lol

Definitely will keep you all updated. I'll go the whole day tomorrow without 5g and share how it performs 👍🏽

no 5g switched on, no point really, we don't have 5g here yet in Scotland uk

We get 5g here in East London, but it is all relatively new and, after doing a few speed tests, not significant enough yet to sacrifice battery

there is a few thinks you can do to improve battery.

1.partition cache wipe (after every update)

2.turn off nearby scanning

3.turn off printer scanning

4.change to 4g from 5g

5.switch to Samsung browser

6.change to dark mode

7.set auto restarts(2 times a week I do mine)

8.put apps you don't really use in deep sleep

I'm sure there are other things as well I just can't remember 😅.
I easily get 10hours SOT and a 1 1/2 days battery,that's with 120hz and wqhd.

It depends, but generally after an hour it's too soon to tell. At first glance though it looks high, but without knowing what's been happening with the phone in that first couple hours it's impossible to say if you may have an issue or not.
