It does not matter at all what the quality of your photography is. The AI detects that you are trying to photograph the moon and adds details on top of your photo from a collection of high quality photos collected by Samsung. In fact, even if you hang a white balloon high at night and take a picture of it, the phone will add lunar details on it.

You can read more about it here:

Clearly a iPhone user 🙄 he's used the same thing on me till I gave him 3 things wrong with his theory and the fact he's used only one website to back his/her case up, also I'm pretty sure all the people who've used these for moon shots on YouTube would have picked it up by now

I know there's some trickery involved but if it was as simple as an overlay, why doesn't every single moon picture look the same?

I can take 10 pictures of the moon in as many minutes and almost guarantee they won't be identical, if it was simply overlaid, surely every phone by Samsung would have identical moon pictures irrespective of camera capability, not varying quality, why would you let a phone take a mess of a photo if you could simply overlay a nice picture of it?

These were mine from last month.

The red one is from the S20 Ultra.

It does autocorrect the photo after you take it, which I hate because it's clearer before I take it vs after I take it. It tries to fix it which I wished they would give an option to disable that feature.
