Got it too (Germany). The Camera was updated but I'm not sure what's new.

No official info (as of now). It will be published here. For now it runs surprisingly well. I checked it for the usual stuff I look for in this video.

So I have been using the January G998BXXU4BULF for almost 24 hours now and it really greatly reduce the occasional stutter I have been experiencing (Exynos 2100) version.

There are animations improvements in all of this sections where I previously got intensive occasional stuttering

  • Home screen settings access
  • Camera opening & closing
  • Apps opening & closing
  • Widget opening & closing
  • Notification/Quick Settings access

The last one was very very annoying - 3 from 5 times when I would go for my notification (swipe down on the home) to access notifications & quick settings my screen would stutter.

Battery is great as almost always, and I am only using max settings in terms of resolution + refresh rate (wqhd+ & 120hz).

I was not able to identify new changes in One UI home and Camera which got new versions, as this update was > 500 MB and security updates are ~ 250 MBs but it`s right about time for Samsung to fully optimize Android 12 (One UI 4) for S21 Ultra months and half before the S22 series is released...

Good to know that I was not the only one experiencing stutter on home screen / app drawer scrolling, Random app crashes and reboots.
Even the camera photo quality and google duo video calls have a lot more noise compared to pre OneUI 4 update.
I am suspicious if these are intentional, give the s22 ultra is launching without any major h/w upgrades

I have experienced one occasion of stutter on home screen / app drawer scrolling (had to reboot phone) and one random reboot with the January update.

My advice comes from being a UK Samsung iPhone user.

Current Devices:
  • iPhone 14 Pro 256GB Deep Purple
  • Samsung Galaxy Buds+ > Model: SM-R175.
