 Hey all,

I have had a look through the posts here and couldn't seem to find my issue. I have the Galaxy S21 Ultra and just today when I have gone to take a photo, the screen is blank and unresponsive, showing only the buttons down the bottom for the camera, but unresponsive.

I have tried the following:
- Restart the phone

- Clear Camera Cache

- Clear camera data

- Check for updates

- Wiped the cache partition

have you tried checking the cameras permissions?
tried lowering or raising the quality? tinkering with settings
could be a hardware fault

Same thing for me. It was sent off and replaced with a new device.

Same problem for me. About a week after I got the mobile, camera started showing just black unless I switch the photo zoom to distance. Sometimes does show a picture, but just for 1 or 2 seconds. Black all the time for scanning QR codes, so useless.

I'd hate to go through the pain of a return plus hours & hours setting up loads of apps again (not all settings transfer) to find out it's a software bug - it feels like it could be one. Except that this community page is the only mention I can see about the problem, so it's not widespread.

Is the camera working fine in the replacement mobile?

Hey, had the same problem today, was thinking about doing a factory reset before asking for a replacement. But!

It looks like it's just a software defect. I did a force restart of the phone and the issue disappeared:

1. To do it, press and hold the volume down button and the power key for 10 seconds. Your phone will turn off and power back on.

2. When the Samsung logo shows on the screen, release both keys and wait until the reboot is finished.

Hope it helps!

I'm also facing the exact same problem from the past 3 weeks. Have tried even the factory reset. It's still the same.

Anyone has a fix?

I did not find a fix. None of the suggestions above (clear caches, force reboot, factory reset, software updates) worked.

I got my phone replaced.
