So I bought the new S21 Ultra on the pre order the day it was announced. I was one of the lucky ones to get early so I could leave a review.
Coming from a Note 10+ that I had for a year and a half, I was really excited for the S21 Ultra, but was really disappointed with the battery life. I've had the phone for 5 days now and since the very beginning I've not been able to use the phone for the whole day on a single charge. It's been giving me screen on times comparable to my Note 10+ (4/5 hours) which is a much older device, but I thought maybe this was the way all S21 ultra's were behaving, just not very good battery life.
BUT, yesterday all the youtubers started to publish they're videos comparing batteries with older S devices and Iphones and their S21s were doing amazing, giving them screen on times of up to 13 hours!
I contacted support but they said this would be normal as my phone was still learning user patterns... but I'm not sure if that would affect it as bad as it is at the moment.
What do you guys think? Should I send the phone back? I'm really concerned that I just spent all this money on a new phone for it to be so bad with battery.

I am doing some testing today. 4:30 off charge and I've done 3h of screentime now. Multiple apps open in the background, have screen timeout on 10m and just make sure it stays on. Played Youtube for 2hrs.
Battery is on 81% which I think is perfectly acceptable. Definitely feels like standby that is making something go hay-wire.

It literally is almost better to keep the phone's screen on the whole time and have it play a video or something than to put it on standby. Wow.

Reached out to Samsung customer service. The representative advised me to send device logs from the Samsung Members application on the phone. I did and also attached a picture of the CPU and Battery temps when I was checking on them while using the camera. Now I am curious as to what they will reply.

One thing that also came to my mind earlier. There was the question of whether poor quality devices were sent to towns as opposed to cities, but it might be also where the devices got manufactured. Checking with the Phone INFO for Samsung, mine says made in Korea. What about yours guys? My Note8 was made in Vietnam for example.

Hello,
I live in NYC and bought directly from Samsung and the battery has been terrible to say it nicely. I have made the decision to send it back. I wish Samsung would address this problem or release a statement. Seems many are having big problems.

I am not getting this at all. My phone actually drains extremely fast when I use it. I haven't had any issues in standby. If I play games I would estimate my phone may last 2 hours max if I play straight. I was playing a game last night and watched it go from 95% to about 60% in around 35 minutes.
