S21 through screen fingerprint sensor not good enough

Dear Samsung

Very sadly the through screen fingerprint sensor dis not fit for purpose because if the hand has been washed or otherwise very dry and the sensor does not work. The fix is to wipe the finger across the face and then the sensor works.

I noticed this problem in my S20 but understood that this was fixed in the S21 with an improved scanner.

my wife’s J6 works just fine although a different technology.

Samsung, for a premium otherwise excellent product , this is not good enough.

The diags only confirm that the through screen fingerprint is flakey.

Most time it works but sometimes very difficult so I have got into the habit of rubbing my finger across the face and it then works every time.

Finally gone is the embarrassment of paying a bill with GPay , one fail and face and good to go. Works every time.

The later sensors are more secure which is why you are having this issue.
