Strange I seem to be getting a good battery life.
Screen brightness turn it down if possible, turn of auto brightness. Then use the device care to see what is using the battery.
But running fb, Spotify, amazon prime, WhatsApp and Netflix will eat your battery.

Hi,

7 / 8 hours seems to be a bit on the lower side. How long do you have this phone and since when do you see this battery performance?

Have you run the Diagnostics to check if the battery is ok?

Battery passes diagnostics test. Cleared cache, haven't installed any new apps (infarct removed a few). I used to get 6 or more hours screen on time but recently it's been *****! I don't check battery stats frequently but I think it's been like this for me since August.

Google play services is eating your battery.

Check your location permissions and background data.

Already done this. Everything that I need enabled is enabled, and everything I don't need I disabled last month.

Under accounts, nothing I don't require to be synced is synced. Gone through all my app permissions and disabled location and background data on all apps that I don't require such permissions. Google Play Services usually uses between 3-5% of the total on my device.

Saying that, on the pixel 6 Google Play Services isn't even listed as a drain on battery, it is on my S21 Ultra and the wife's S21 Plus.

Apparently for some people the latest update is causing Google play services to eat battery like crazy.

Keep checking for app updated in both Samsung and Google store.

If Wipe cache doesn't help you might have to reset your phone as a last resort.

Or you could wait and see if it sorts itself out.

I purchased an Xbox series X last month and just realised that I installed the Xbox app to set it up last month. This app had location and background data enabled and I get frequent notifications too. I have just disabled both permissions, see if that helps my battery drain issue! 🤞
