Hello,

I have damaged my S21+. The screen is cracked, the SIM card tray won't recognise the SIM anymore, the bottom speaker no longer works and the back glass is cracked too.

I have looked at the cost of the doorstep repair service samsung offer via 3rd party repair company are quoting £611 for this.

Does anyone know If Samsung store will charge the same price for this repair if I pop into store?

You're better off going to a local trusted repair shop if you don't mind voiding your warranty and having most likely replica non genuine parts. They'll charge like half the price.

Hi @duffman123321

Certainly sounds like your phone has been through the wars  😞

I would suggest that you let a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre have hands on as they will need to assess the phone just incase there is anything else needing attention that your not aware of, and then give a costing so you can then decide if the cost is worth the repair against the current value of the phone.

Using a non authorised repair shop can sometimes lead to other issues such as dust introduction and possible accidental damage to other parts and they may not use oem parts too.

Your manufacturing warranty will be voided.

Sometimes cheaper is not always the best route.

I wish you all the best.

Similar boat but much less extensive damage, just a tiny chip on the very bottom left of the screen that has 2 hairline cracks radiating a few cm up the screen, but too fine to see during use, only when screen is off. Though I'm guessing any screen damage will cost the exact same to replace. Where did you get a quote? I can't see me being able to get a doorstep repair service living so far away from any city. I'm on the upgrade programme as well. Raging with myself, I dropped it for the first time since launch (with Samsung official case on) and it cracks.

Just Google samsung repairs. My quote was the doorstep repair. I added all elements of damage, and it came to £611. I'm sure the screen along was £299. Spoke to a friend who got their screen replaced in the Samsung store for £229, so slightly confusing prices. Doorstep repairs are carried out by 3rd party called Wefix.

Hopefully you get it sorted. Have you got insurance you can claim?

You can also arrange for them to collect the damaged phone to take away and repair and return when fixed.

No insurance sadly. Also unsurprisingly no doorstep repair where I am, i'd have to go to Glasgow, which is the nearest place I can find on the list but that's a 200 miles round trip. I've got the Ultra and I'm getting quoted £339 though it comes with a free battery replacement? No option to just have the screen repaired without battery. None of the actual screen damaged its just a tiny corner of the glass on top too. In my case it's not worth it at all and for £611 you would be able to get a very good condition one off a second hand reseller for that amount
