Re: S21 Ultra not connecting to 5G network

Hi, hope someone can help

I recently purchased the S21 Ultra and it will not connect to 5G network.

I have received a new SIM from my provider.

I have reset the phone and also the Network settings.

I have installed Cellmapper to check network

Also installed Samsung band Selection 

Nothing shows NR exists even though I am in a good 5G area.

Also saw something about unlocked Samsung phones don't have Network management for carriers like the carrier branded phones, if this is true then will have to look at returning this mobile.

Could someone advise?

Hi, where was your S21 Ultra purchased from? It wasn't a import was it?

No purchased online direct from Samsung UK

Who is your carrier? My unbranded phone works fine on EE.

It's with Virgin who now use O2

I know it doesn't solve your issue but have you tried another network sim in your phone to see if the 5G works? After looking on the Virgin website it states the plan has to be 5G too... but I'm sure when Virgin replaced your sim they would have checked your plan is 5G ready. If its a old plan you may need to move to a 5G plan? Sorry if I am giving you suggestions that you've already thought of.
