Play Store updates very slow to update

I have noticed that on Samsung phones, Play Store updates take rather long to update and install. I'm comparing this to Pixel and OnePlus phones which I've had in the past and the updates would take half the time to install.

I'm not sure why this is the case, whether Samsung Knox has a part to play in this. I just had 15 updates and it took literally 30 minutes!

Android 12 has improved the installation speed. I tested the beta briefly and apps installed really quick.

Sounds good. Let's hope it stays true for the final Android 12 release.

Biometrics and Security has built in McAfee malware scanning so it could be the apps are getting detected and scanned by that (enforced by Knox?) before Play Store which also scans them gets to process the installation.

Guys I think I discovered the issue.

In

Settings ->

Battery and device care ->

three dots top right ->

Automation ->

Disable scan for malware.

This improved the play store install speed for me.

Mine is back to normal again without any changes necessary. Maybe a software update fixed it

Try enabling Enhance Processing. It solved mine.
