Pick up to wake feature

Hey guys I'm new here. I'm very enthusiastic phone user, glad to be with Samsung this year my last phone was S8+...

I have a feature request, when I pick up the phone the screen wakes but like the fruit equivalent it's not as smooth and when I put the phone down the screen doesn't go off. The folks at BBK using colour OS of oxygen OS have got this feature a bit more smooth and responsive. I can help with code but Samsung won't hire me 🙃

I am guessing the fruit is apple, well Samsung is more on camera and screen than user quality so it may not happen

Actually this feature does seem a little slow compared to the S20 Ultra which works perfectly. I personally don't like to use it but after testing it does seem a bit slow.
