I've just been comparing the standard 3.4 auto to the 108mp 3.4 auto and every photo on normal 3.4 auto seems out of focus when pinching in. I have done some examples below to show what I mean. I am pressing to focus before I take every photo as well so it's not that.

Thanks for that..

Can you post the details of both photos.....

I did a test and found that.

The 108 MP uses 1.8 aperture as you can see with the bokeh or blurry background.

While the normal shot at 2.2 which make for a sharper overall picture.

Maybe try playing with distance and also make sure scene optimiser is on.

Did you tap to focus?

You was right about the depth of field on the 108mp you can well tell and the photo is so much nicer

Yeah see how they have a different f number...

It seems close up it uses 2.2 on the normal 3.4

But further away subjects will use the 1.8 on normal 3.4.

Weird.

No wonder you can do macro on the main lens as well.. probably changes to the wide up close

I thought the s21 device's couldn't change the f values like it would on my old S10+?

So that's what it's done then it's swapped from the 108mp sensor to the ultra wide 12 MP sensor that's why the photo isn't pin sharp
