one ui 4 upgrade broke Dual Messenger (whatsapp)

Hi There

I updated my 21+ phone yesterday to the latest patches as per the prompts by Samsung and since then Whatsapp Dual Message cannot send images, record voices or anything. 

Tried everthing I could find and nothing works.

I wish they hadnt push this update out.  I use the 2nd sim for work and business abroad.

Same for me after S21 update to UI 4 on 28.11.2021. This is a business phone. I nee a solution asap! Samsung, what did you do?

Works well for me after same issue on dual app - galaxy ultra s21.

The issus is caused by new system file location for dual app, now on separate virtual disc.

- Open file manager.

- Storage - Dual Storage. Click on "!" and allow read write access

- Go to storage, Dual App, Android, media, com.whatsapp, whatsapp folder

- Select an copy all folder (Backups; Database, Media...)

Go back to root

- Select Internal Storage Dual App

- Open Android->media->com.whatsapp->whatsapp

- paste

Done !

You can erase copied files if you want inside source folder.

I am facing the identical issues with the dual wats app post updating the software on my Samsung S21+  on 29.11.2021. The 01.12.2021 update too of no use. Unable to download files or send files on the dual app. Even on the facebook app the links are not opening and upon clicking the link the app crashes.  

I dont know how many other issues will be faced in future which I have not yet identified.

Thanks for your detailed response. I have tried these steps but i am unable to paste the copied data in last step. Can you please suggest? I am even unable to create any folder com.whatsapp folder. Also there is no WhatsApp folder in com.whatsapp where i should paste.

Yes it did. Nonetheless i am in the process of moving to an iphone. Had enough.

Same to me: I cannot paste the data (I enabled "Writing" for file manager).

I agree. I invested a lot of money in this S21 Ultra that's supposed to be a high end phone and it's very fragile and unstable
