Notification sounds not working

Anybody able to help out all my notifications i.e text messages , WhatsApp messages & email sounds do not work they were working fine and have all of a sudden stopped working .

Receiving calls as in ringing works just notifications that have stopped I think I have checked everything but any ideas greatly appreciated

I had the same problem.. turned out my phone was still connected to my Bluetooth earphones which were in my bag.. So it rang normally, but all notifications were silent (playing on the earphones unknowingly).  Try to switch off the Bluetooth and see if it works for you.

If you have a galaxy watch 4 you have to disable "mute notification on phone" in wereble app.

Thank you, this worked after try all else, except an additional step was needed for me. For some bizarre reason, even though I had notification sounds set up in each app, under Settings, notification sound, the sound was on MUTE, unmuted, increased volume and eureka, all sorted!! I think the last update must have automatically muted the sound for some reason?! Hope this helps everyone else tooo!

This just happened to me. Today I linked my Whatsapp to my laptop so I can see messages on my laptop. When a message is sent I see a pop up on my laptop and it makes a notification noise. But my S21 Ultra is silent when the message comes in. All sound volume's are up.
