No Samsung Pay, no updates, stuck with EUX European CSC

I just received my S21 Ultra today and found that Samsung Pay displayed messages in German and would not work. Upon investigation it appears to be locked on the EUX CSC instead of BTU and as a result I also don't receive firmware updates.

Reading around, it appears Italy had a similar issue requiring a last-minute firmware push to resolve. I've also read that this can happen if you turn your phone on for the first time without a sim card already inserted.

I can't find any way to change the CSC, previous mechanisms pre Android 11 no longer work and I've tried factory resets etc to no avail.

Am I alone in this?

My issue was the same as others, set up with WiFi without Sim card. Once my Sim was in and I restarted the problem was resolved.

Mine has done exactly the same

set up using sim only 

EUX shown 

just doing a factory reset and put two sims in to see if it sorts it really annoyed

I’ve swapped sims around and everything it is still EUX really not happy 😡

Try the recommend solution that involves turning off WiFi.

Tried that still nothing and Samsung pay won’t work 😡

set up my Samsung with three sim in slot one 

no wifi 

it searched for network and then went to carry on instead of doing it’s usual reboot 

this is a massive issue Samsung which needs resolving 

I can’t access the latest software and Samsung pay doesn’t work

This is ridiculous for a premium handset Samsung can come and collect the handset for a refund I am so angry 😡

Set up with sim installed 

purchased from Samsung uk 

this is the details I have and I can’t get it to budge from XEU 😡 tried the instructions posted by users - this is a massive failure Samsung .... oh and this is the message I get once I’ve downloaded off the App Store

Same issue on the S21.

Setup without a Sim. No Updates.

Installed Sim. No updates

Stuck on UEX CSC.

Turned off wifi - still does it.
