Transferred all my stuff from my old s10 lite including my music files, now I can't play any of my music on the music player on my new phone. Have tried several other music players (Spotify, yt music etc) and they don't work either. Can anyone help? Am I doing something wrong or is my new phone broken?
I've always had Samsung phones and never had a problem like this before

Check if the music files actually got transferred. Head over to the "My Files" app and go into the "Audio Files" section. The music should be there.

Also, at least in the YouTube Music app, you have to toggle an option to allow device audio files to be found (see screenshot).Screenshot_20220810-210849_YouTube Music_5537_1660158529.jpg

The list of songs is there but it just says file can't be played if I try to play anything. I've tried deleting and re installing the app and deleted all my songs and reloaded them from my laptop but still the same?

I'd recommend the VLC music/video player. It plays a host of formats.
