New Android messages functionality

Hi guys. I can't swipe right to reply to an individual message within a chat . It works on my wife's FE but not my Ultra. This is a new feature on Android messages just released. Any ideas please?

Not aware of this as I am not able to replicate on my s21 ultra on beta software.

Is this same like what you can do with WhatsApp?

Also are you guys on same software version?

Hi yes. Exactly like you can on WhatsApp. On the same software version I checked that last night. If you Google, it was in various tech news website that Google were introducing this feature. Works for rcs chat messages only

Is your wife using Samsung messages or google messages?

I tried it on my wife's pixel and it works as she got google messages as default.

I use Samsung messages and can't.

Maybe you need to use Google messages.

Have you got this message symbol?
If so, this will be the new Google Messenger Beta App
You would have needed to join this.
You can go into the Playstore and then tap on the leave Beta option.

Though for me I swipe left and can reply if the other person has the Beta as well
