I can't send pictures in the good old fashioned text message way. Any ideas please

You're trying to send MMS? What network? Are you on contract? You may need new MMS settings refreshed from the network... or you can manually check it by doing some Google searching.

If you're on contract you may have a Spend Cap on your plan that stops you from sending them as MMS generally, on most plans, isn't included in the allowances.

Sometimes a person's mobile phone account needs provisioning to send MMS.

Speak with your providers customer services.

Also make sure your Apn settings are correct for your type of contact.

Also a person needs a good stable 3G connection via mobile data.

Take into account most networks charge to send mms and they have a file size restriction.

This is why I personally use WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger or good old email instead.
