We all know about the screen problems Samsung has, they crack if you look at them sideways. My S21 Ultra broke in my pocket a few months after I got it. No bumps, no impacts. No warranty coverage either.

In the USA, Samsung has set aside one week a year where they offer very inexpensive screen repairs (no doubt to address this issue). This year, it was $49.99 US to repair your screen if it was Galaxy S9 or newer.

Last year, it was $100 to repair your cracked screen for $99 if it was an S8 or newer.

I contacted Samsung Canada to ask if they ever had any similar promotions. Nope. Never. No  mention of any plans to help Canadian customers either.

Not only that, but screen repair is normally much less expensive in the USA.  For an S21 Ultra 5G, the US screen repair price is listed at $289 USD (about $372 CDN)

In Canada the exact same repair is going to run you $436.

If you're thinking about buying any more Samsung products, as a Canadian, I'd think again. Samsung Canada isn't interested in keeping their customer base. Personally, I've owned several Samsung phones over the years. A few weeks ago, when I needed to buy a tablet, I went with iPad. Getting a Samsung tablet wasn't even a consideration.

I don't expect anyone from Samsung Canada will care that I've moved on to their competition, they have shown time and time again they they don't value Canadian customers. Just remember that when it's time to buy your next device.

I'll ask for your thread to be moved to the appropriate region as this is the Eu Community Forum @SeanK

You may recieve more pertinent replies this way.

I can't speak for your particular model of phone as I've not owned that particular one, and I'm in no way dismissing the very real issues some owners experience with theirphone's screen or back plate cracking as it's a conundrum as to why this happens.

Stress to the phone in some way or maybe a flaw in the manufacturer of the glass can be attributed. Just my personal thoughts you understand.

I've never had a phone's display or back plate fail 🤞

I've also found that different promotions from Samsung can be based on the region you reside in unfortunately.

We don't always enjoy the deals and promotions etc that our neighbours do.

I know that only too well living in the UK when past promotions , phone costs , colour of phone and availability of different storage capacity options have been released.

I wish you all the best.  :smiling-face:

My apologies, the mobile website is a pain. I have no idea how this ended up in the EU community. I tried to repost it here:

but it looks like it's linked back to this post automatically.
