Hi Peeps.

So basically I never liked the skin tones the Samsung camera captures.

They looked overbright or washed out.

Tried turning hdr off and no joy.

So what I found out was

This is especially for portrait photos.

Just tap to focus and then press and hold to get the exposure ring and underexpose your photo to your liking to get those perfect skin tones.

As a side effect it also makes your photos a lot sharper and true to life.

A Note to Samsung

Please extend the Tone setting under filters Face On to go even darker or lighter as people will have more choice.

Thanks.

Thank You. I hope samsung doesn't overexpose the photos and maybe send a fix in next camera update

Good tip indeed GoanGeek. I manipulate the exposure ring as you describe above when taking pictures in woodlands and forests or just when I want to see how an underexposed composition looks compared to the auto setting. I recommend anyone to at least try doing this sometimes. It is a useful feature on the camera. 👍👍

Also the split focus and exposure ring in Pro Mode is cool 😎
