Software updates were installed few days ago  but, since then notifications are om do not disturb mode, just notifications. 

Is there anything that I can do to take off this 'do not disturb "?

Notifications
Click do not disturb
Uncheck slider do not disturb

Not sure what to do, I have tried to restart phone still not working.

It doesn't look as though DND is on. Is it the words in the first pic uploaded that makes you think DND is on because that text is there regardless. Have you checked notifications are on for SMS? Did you have a custom tone whcih may have been deleted with the update?
