Hello,

also after the S21 update today, the bug in the camera: HDR is always applied to photos, also if turned off remains.

Could anyone please test and confirm this?

Test instructions:

  1. Turn HDR off in Camera settings
  2. Turn also off: Szene Optimization and Bewegungsaufnahme (Motion capture in english?)
  3. Take a photo with with a bright spot (sunset, desk lamp)

Expected result:

Real result

Here is a short video, that also shows the problem: https://1drv.ms/v/s!AqOs8PY1dvuqi5wTsuTy-xi27KqUfA?e=NnTiy7

This does not happen in Pro mode, and not even when there is no very bright light source in the image.

The problem occurred on several S20+ in the last months as well.

Thank you very much

I believe this is Samsung thinking they know best.

Haha, me too. We need to "educate" Samsung

Good luck with that! I'm leaving the Samsung family next year. Fed up when shoddy gimmicks that don't deliver on what a phone a few years old can.

They have totally lost the plot with their flagships.
