Google play store

My Google play store has a message to update the Play store. However when I click on it, it says it is up to date. I have already cleared cache and Data. Any help would be appreciated

Have a look in galaxy store and see it it still says update available, mine sometimes does this with various apps, we've basically got two app stores doing the same thing on samsungs.

Thanks for your reply. It is the actual Play store app itself and that I cannot find in the Galaxy store

It's unusual to get a message saying the Play Store needs updating because, I thought it's always done automatically??
Only the Galaxy Store tells me occasionally there is an update available .
Have you tried restarting/rebooting your phone to see if the message goes away?

If you clicked on a link in the messsage you may be being hacked.

Thanks for your messages. I appreciate it. I also thought the Play store would update automatically. I don't think I am hacked because my partner also has the same message. I will just leave it alone for now. Hopefully it will disappear by itself.

If you go into settings > about phone > software information > click on Google play system update and see if it needs an update from there
