Google maps unable to open Samsung main photo gallery .

So with my google maps is not connecting to the main samsung photogallary anymore, what it does its connect directly to my Google photo. 

Whenever I delete the Google photo, i would be able to access the main gallary,. But as soon as the Google photo is installed on my phone it revert back to the same issues. 

Any suggestions on how to fix it ?

Google don't seem to have a setting to use for multiple sources.
I'm assuming you are talking about adding photos to Google Maps for places you've been to.
I guess Google Photos is the default for access to upload files if it's there.

This is a Google service, so you'd need to ask them. I know they have been making changes recently.
