Galaxy Samsung S21 ultra 5G 100x Zoom Issue

I am on vacation and tried to take a picture of the moon with my Samsung S21 Ultra 5G at 100x zoom.

My sister's phone took a pristine shot while mine was blurry.  Pictures were taken in the same exact environment.

I cleared the phone's cache.  Started in safe mode.  I even went through this...https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01001424/.  Nothing has worked so far.  I am hoping that I don't need to do a factory reset because that is not a guarantee either.

Any suggestions on a fix?

ive got the note20 ultra , & i too can't get a pin sharp photo at 100x zoom , i'm afraid it just does'nt happen with samsung , plus i can see you've got a slight camera shake , you could try using a gimble , at a guess your sister is using an iphone which does have abit better camera , sorrreee lol .

Not a chance would an iPhone take a photo like that!!!

I'm pretty sure the OP is suggesting their sister also has an S21 ultra too hence the comparison?

Difficult to suggest why they are different; I know from using it myself that as the zoom is so much it can be hit and miss on focus, there is a bit of a knack to it. IMG_20210322_185140_344_18531.jpg

Don't suppose it helps but all my moons shots vary in quality.

Remember that it's digital zoom...so you may be better off focusing at say 30-50x and cropping in... 20210527_234936_23434.jpg20210329_211123_19364.jpgIMG_20210624_093300_046_24690.jpg20210323_183215_18664.jpg

@loribear1 My sister has the same phone and stood in the same place I did to take the picture so the environment was exactly the same.

You are correct they are the exact same phone with pictures taken in the same environment.  The 100x zoom doesn't seem to work at all.  everything is blurry which totally blows.

I've been "talking" to Samsung through FB messenger for a over a week trying to solve this issue. Back in June I had amazing photos of the moon since then....all blurry. Tonight was the first clear night in a while so have sent them an updated photo. It's so irritating as I've always had Samsungs for the camera. I'm not sure whether an update has caused the regression of the quality. But if I hear more I'll let you know.20210821_221952_14611.jpg20210721_211523_13376.jpg

Is it just moon photos that are are blurry at high zoom levels or all photos? If it is everything then there is a chance your 10x zoom camera has an issue. If it is just the moon shots then it could be something that can be fixed by a software change.
