It's not Samsung that forces custom firmware variants for the various networks. It's the networks that force the manufacturer to customise their firmware! They do this so that the end user can't access certain features/settings as well earn money by installing pre-installed apps.

My advice comes from being a UK Samsung iPhone user.

Current Devices:
  • iPhone 14 Pro 256GB Deep Purple
  • Samsung Galaxy Buds+ > Model: SM-R175.

Do you have examples of "so end user can't access certain features / settings"? Just curious to know - I'd be happier to drop my carrier phone for an unlocked one if I can determine any differences. Thanks
