Dial pad timeout

When I use the phone in a stand (S21 with Android 12), calling someone the dial pad times out very quickly (not the specified screen time out time set at 10 minutes). It makes it difficult to access options for phone trees (pressing extensions) as is you have to touch the screen once to wake it up and it is easy to touch the wrong button. Also, per others, please add a never option for general screen time out. A lot of users use the phone almost exclusively when plugged in and this is a very useful option.

Using the phone whilst on charge is not a good idea as charging generates heat and so does using the phone. This can cause overheating potentially damaging the phone so there is no way any responsible manufacturer will allow the potential for damage to happen.

Thanks for your post. I also struggle with this rapid and apparently unconfigirable dial pad time out. Horrible.
