Hi I've now got my S21 Ultra and and upgraded from S10+ I got the charger cable in the box but not the plug? Is this normal? I wouldn't bother but as you all know the cable for the new phone is double ended and doesn't fit the old charger... so why no plug??

mate this is the most funny thing about new Samsung's. they dont include the plug. just let that sink in.😂😂 you have to buy one separately. it's like they don't do the audio Jack. why because of the room it takes up second they want your money like any other smartphone. but they aren't worse than iPhone at least.

so true 🤣 it should at least be an option to take the charger on purchasing the phone, then people that don't need it don't take it and people like myself can. not rocket science... and since when has 5he size of the box bothered anyone? 🤔

Yes mate, as discussed elsewhere there is no charger in the box on the S21 range, to try and prevent environmental waste and because a lot of people would already have compatible chargers. However, its not all bad news because, in doing this, Samsung reduced the price of the new S21s by a couple hundred quid over the comparable S20 models and also reduced the purchase price of the 25W wall charger on their website by half compared to the previous generation charger to compensate so it's not really a big deal. If you want the full superfast charging experience then buy the charger for £17, if not, then switch on fast charging in settings and use an older, less powerful charger. 👍

Their explanation of no charger is "Samsung believes the removal of earphones and charger plugs from our in-box device packaging can help address the growing e-waste problem and unnecessary duplication of these items".  This is bullshit.  They give us a charging cable without the power plug, which means we have to purchase a power plug because the cable doesn't fit our other power plugs.  They don't allow us to use our existing plug in ear phones..they require us to purchase blue tooth earplugs.  Their not being considerate to our environment, considering we are left with chargers, cables, and earphones that don't work with their phones....we have an abundance of worthless  products to discard.  And not only that....one of the main reasons people have the Internet is for email, and the new Samsung phones don't even have an email Icon.....what the ***** is that.  So now I have to download the email app.  Oh, but it comes with Candy Crush....whoopdie ***** hoohaw.  Samsung is getting lazy and cheap and their phone is getting harder and harder to navigate.  ***** Samsung.

To make the box smaller?  The box is the biggest box I have ever seen for a flat phone.  Their packaging is designed to make it looks like you got something for your money.
