[07/DEC/21] BUL1 DECEMBER Security update out for UK

The updates just keep on coming.

Only 11 days after their bugfix update, BUKG, Samsung have begun rolling out their 3rd Android 12 release... the December Android Security patch for the S21 series of international devices.

Initially, as always, this is a staged rollout to the non-carrier branded, stock Samsung CSC codes first.

The Galaxy S21 international devices that will receive this update are...

• S21 5G model SM-G991B
• S21+ 5G model SM-G996B
• S21 Ultra 5G model SM-G998B

This latest release replaces the previous G99*BXXU3BUKG build on the international devices.

It is a FOTA, (Firmware Over The Air), update and you can check... Settings > Software update... to see if it is available for you. Alternatively, you can connect to the Samsung PC suite, Smart Switch and check via that.

Camera version = 12.0.00.83 (no change)

One UI version = 4.0

This is the 22nd stable update for the Exynos model in 316 days. Average = 1 update every 14 days.

TOP TIP: Wipe the phone's cache partition and use the Galaxy App Booster after updating.

It's not so much as being first. It is more about giving the most information possible in a single post in case that particular release may help others if there is, say, a bugfix update for a particular issue.

Subsequent posts about a particular release may just say, "I got it", or, "does this fix", etc:

This is just a security patch update for December that has been integrated in to the previous BUKG update as the modem/Baseband and CSC remain as BUKG on this release. So, no bugfixes or updates apart from the patch.

It looks like Samsung are doing a fast roll-out on this BUL1 December Security patch update.
