wireless charging issues

I've had my S20 about 2-3 weeks and its been working fine on a wireless charger. Today I've noticed it will no longer charge on fast wireless charging only flit between normal charging and fast charging speeds every second or so meaning it barely charges at all.

This is extremely imfuriating for a new phone, has anyone else experienced such issues??

@JonnyG: Which wireless charger do you have? Have you tried heading to Settings > Device Care > Battery > Charging, to see if Fast Wireless Charging is enabled?

I have a ventev wireless charger sold by EE and advertised as for samsung phones. Its been working on it fine up until yesterday evening.

yes I've checked this, I've also rebooted and started it in safe mode to no avail.

Could this have anything to do with the software update I did yesterday?? 😡

I'm not familiar with the Ventev charger, but I can see that it is supposed to support 10W Fast Wireless Charging on supported Samsung phones. Please can you check the following troubleshooting steps to see if this helps at all, although please be aware that these steps are intended for Samsung wireless chargers. With this in mind, you may wish to reach out to Ventev directly to see if they're able to offer any further insight.

• Make sure your phone is placed in the centre of the charging pad, with no obstructions. 
• Remove any cases, skins, or protectors from your phone.
• If headphones are connected to your phone, it could block the phone from charging. Disconnect the headphones or place your phone in a landscape position. Do not use your phone while it is wirelessly charging. 
• If a charger or USB cable is connected to your phone, the wireless charging feature may be unavailable.
• Use only the AC adapter and USB cable that came with your phone or wireless charger to power the wireless charger.

Im having the same issue with my S20 FE.  Last night it was charging fine on my Nanami wireless charger.  Tonight it keeps flitting between fast charging and normal charging.  I also had a software update this morning so i think thats the issue too.

I'm glad its not just me...I'm really frustrated... I'm convinced it to do with the software update and I haven't got the time or ability to go back to either EE or samsumg and neither should I have to, I've only had it a couple of weeks!!!!

I have the same exact issue. When I place my S20 FE on my RAVPOWER 10W charger, it will fast charge for 10 seconds and then it will revert back to slow charging. I double checked with my Galaxy S9 and it is NOT  a charger issue. FYI I am on the September security patch and I've tried all the recommendations in this thread.

part of me feels like the camera section sticking out stops it from sitting flat on the right part of the wireless charging pad...
