To think that paying almost £1000 for (Samsung S20) an underpowered exynos chip and then to receive overheating issues AND battery issues?! This is beyond absurb. Will samsung Fix this exynos issue by hopefully the One UI 3 update? Would appreciate a professionalist to answer this

iam not an expert but with samsung over 10 years, my opinion about new devices overheating is that could be fixed by updates and also with set up of phone. but I wouldnt say is it big issue, cause even s10e is sometimes warm if phone is "busy". so id say samsung know about this issue and working on it

it is real heating but it takes usualy up to 1 minute when processor working on 100% on actual job, it is issu and definetly can be fixed by software update. as samsung know about that and not fixing it immidiately, would say it not gonna do damage on device

my phone stopped once I did these three things.
1. factory reset
2. use 60hz
3. hd+ resolution

after a few weeks I was able to boost up resolution and finally refresh rate. it went from being as hot as a sun to being frozen with highest settings.

Ehh, I am beta tester of oneui 3.0 and android 11. And what i can say... Its not fixed, still overheating still drainingbattery very quick. And trust me switching off 120hz and changing to lowest resolution is not a solution. Its a flagship phone so You schould Use It like You want without any limits... They schould replace all exynos phones to snaodragons.... I am very disappointed. Especially that i really like samsung dex eh

I wish I had read your post earlier, before buying the S20FE. I am regretting it. The heating issue in the FE is really bothering. After some several calls with the Service Help Desk, they asked me to take the brand new phone personally to the Service Centre. No I am waiting for a response. They had said that they will get back in 24 hours. It is now time up, still waiting. Had to go through the pain of loading all my data and then again deleting it at the Centre!

I do understand what you are saying. But if the heat is unbearable when holding and watching a movie, it is not good. I bought a S20FE, and brand new within just two days had to return to the Service Centre. Have not got a feedback yet. Hoping they will let me have my refund and choose another phone. I have used Iphones, One Plus, Sony Xperia earlier, but this experience is leaving me bitter. Imagine you buy a brand new expensive phone, then load all your apps and data...and in just two days asked to give it back to the Service Centre. And I am like just waiting now, for some repsonse!
