Sometimes after an OS update a factory reset sorts any problems out. Make sure to back your data up first though

That's not good @starshine

Please make sure all your apps in your Playstore and Galaxy Store are updated first.

Here a are a few generic troubleshooting tips to try if you so wish.

1. First please put the phone in Safe Mode which disables your downloaded app's but let's your stock app's keep working. If the issues stop then this highlights a downloaded app as the possible issue. Come out of Safe Mode and start deleting your most recent downloaded app's one at a time until it stops.

2. Clear your phone's System Cache Files by turning your phone Off and then from a set series of button presses go into the phone's System Files and clear the cache. No information is lost this way. You may need to insert your headphones or hook upto a computer with your data cable to get to this menu on the phone.

3. Factory reset after backing up and removing any relevant sd card.

4. Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre can take a look if they are open due to the pandemic.

OK firstly thank so much for all the replies.
So I haven't done a factory reset in my life as way to scared of losing all my life lol 🙃 ie all of my stuff on my phone.
I have never even done a soft reset either normally I have taken my phone into o2 which is where I got my phone from however due to the Covid situation that is not possible.
I'm 46 and although I'm clever at most things lol when it comes to bloody phones I'm a complete malteser as in brown on the outside blonde in the middle ( no offence to anyone pls before anyone gives me any grief its just a saying that I use often).

So a soft reboot is just turning it Off and On or via some button presses which is explained in this link.

androidauthority.com/samsung-galaxy-s20-reset-reboot.

The link also shows how to factory reset a phone which is a very last resort.

The key elements are to remove any sd card before you factory reset and create a back up via using your Samsung Cloud and any other vault you may have such as Dropbox.

To back up go into Settings, Accounts and Backups, Samsung Cloud , Back Up Data and let the phone do it's thing.

Then you'll need to restore the phone once the factory reset has completed by using the back up you created when resetting your phone back up.

It can look daunting but there are tutorials via a Google search and on YouTube or ask someone you know who is more comfortable doing this to help you @starshine

Do lots of homework on what to do and you'll be fine I'm sure.

Good luck @starshine  🤞
