warranty, send off for repair without original receipt

Hi, does anyone know if I need the original receipt to get my phone repaired by samsung? I bought a samsung galaxy s20 ultra from a phone shop and after a week or so ive noticed that the phone has a very faint screen burn so I can faintly see the outline of some apps, the phone is fully legitimate and is registered in my name on my samsung memebers account and is still under samsung warranty, but I don't have the original receipt from when the phone was new I only have a receipt from the seller when I purchased. Ive been booked into to have my phone collected and repaired by samsung but I'm not sure if they will do it without the original receipt from when the phone was new. Can anyone give me any information about this it would be much appreciated it. Thanks

I am sure they don't need receipt. They can check the IME number.

they 100% need proof of purchase it doesn't have to be a receipt with your name it can be second hand etc they just need that receipt. I had this problem a few year ago Samsung confirmed my warranty but wouldn't do it without the papers unfortunately. most purchases these days are via email so check to see if you got a digital receipt

I'm getting mixed information, some have said they didn't ask for receipt. the thing is I only have a written receipt from the seller. I'll send the phone anyway and if they ask for receipt I'll just have to send them the written receipt through and see what happens from there. thanks anyway

im trying to get my tv repaired.  I was told by the support team I didn’t need a receipt.  Now the repair team is requiring it.  Would you be able to provide me with the ticket # so I can show them they do indeed fix products without a receipt.  Thank you
