UI3 Update - Bugs/Fixes

So i have downloaded the new update and it seems i made a mistake. I should have waited at least one month so the bugs would be fixed. Thought i would start this thread for everyone to report their problems thus far.

 

First one i see is the EDGE Lighting is a disaster. You cant customise your apps for the lighting you want to choose so basically you dont have a choice of colours. You can choose one colour for all but not customise individual apps.

you might have to update some of your apps... or wait until the app makers have got time to look at the update to see what they have to do to make things work.

It's not the apps. None of the apps have the ability to choose your Edge colour since the update. I am not sure if this is a bug or something that Samsung have got rid off like the notification light.

This is a disaster. What can I do? Can I go back to the old version

@Unknown007 you would need to withdraw via the Settings on the Samsung Members App.

 

Settings-One UI Beta programme Status- Withdraw Menu.

 

Members who wish to remove Beta software and rollback to a previous version should use Smart switch Pc Version.

Hi James. Thanks for this. I am a newbie. Can you give me a step by step guide.

What do you mean smart switch pc version.

This sounds complicated. I just want a normal phone.. Today I had other issues with my lock screen and had to restart my phone several times

Hey there, @Unknown007.

 

Connect your phone to your PC > launch Smart Switch > Press the “Update” button to roll back to your previous Samsung software.

Hi Danny.

Thanks for this. I called Samsung and they told me I would not be able to go back to the old version??

Is this true?

I do not have the beta version of u3 I have the live version which went out in December

Ah, I assumed you were part of the Beta still. This is correct, now the software has been updated, you would be unable to revert back to older versions.
