Moving from an iPhone to Samsung one of the things i expected to be amazing was the battery. The minute i started using the phone i noticed myself having to stop myself using certain things because the phone was barely giving me any battery life. I have had it for 3 days and i would say i am a pretty average user (i dont game or do anything heavy on the phone), however this morning for example for 3 hours it jumped from 100% to 50%. I am so disappointed because i am SO happy with the phone but the battery life is terrible.
Is anyone having the same issue? Samsung suggested a replacement but I honestly dont know if i can sit without any phone at the moment during quarantine too!

my s9+ for the past year barely stayed over 30% in 3-4 hours if i did anything as much as checking facebook.
do you have the exynos or snapdragon version? i hear the snapdragon ones can last 2 days, while us stuck on exynos only get max of up to 19 hours (if using 120hz mode)

Sadly unless you live in USA or Korea you can't get snapdragon one without importing one at full cost plus shipping and import fees.
Hence why I've been stuck with exynos for past 3 phones.

Hi and welcome to this forum
Many things to check :
-if you always put your display at 120hz, your battery will drop rapidly and this is normal with this kind of screen
-Please click on Maintenance and on battery and choose Optimized battery
These are some important settings of my Note10 +
Don't believe people that are saying Snapdragon have better life battery, people from those countries are saying Exinos is better...Click there to choose this setting
Also, if you had received a big update, maybe you'll need to make a wipe cache partition on your device, just follow this :
S20 series Wipe cache partition

I have done all of this, it does not fix or help with the issue. Exynos is sub par to SnapDragon.

To the person above saying "do not believe" the difference between snapdragon and exynos. every single real life comparison test ive read or watched, including seeing it myself in real life on s9 series across me and my friends and family who had the same device (4 of us in total) shows snapdragon to be far FAR smoother in games, and longer battery life. the only thing the exynos does better is sharper photos... and LOTS of overheating and sluggish after 20 minutes of gaming. - me and my uk friends on exynos.. max of 11 hours if VERY lucky.. eg switch to sd or hd (not fhd) turn off every feature possible to save batter... - my american cousin.... 40 hours. - big difference.
meanwhile my s9+ exynos needs charging minimum every 5-7 hours and both me and my friend have same phone and few times just watching netflix or anything BURNS our hands and the battery drops from 70% to 30% in just half an hour... while a family member who visited from america for my grans 90th has the same phone on snapdragon and never heard of a single issue other then "some pics come out blurry" compared to ours. -
im not saying the current s20 model is the same dramatic difference, but only youtube videos using benchmarks.. theres a good 3 hours extra battery life with the snapdragon, more fps in all games loading far faster and no frame drops compared to the exynos. so theres still issues, but not as much
