Galaxy S20 Seriesjust received my shiny new S20 Ultra. However the phone does not seem to read the SIM card properly. It reads it and then says it cannot read it. And this happens every few seconds. Back and forth. Means I cannot make or receive calls. If I'm lucky enough to be on a call it switches off half way through. I've tried the sim on my old s10+ and even s8 and no problems. So doesn't appear to be a SIM issue. Is my phone faulty?

Galaxy S20 SeriesI'm from the Philippines, and I'm also experiencing this problem. I tried all the possible fixes and even did a factory reset twice! Still no fix.

Galaxy S20 SeriesHad the exact same issue.I used my old sim when I upgraded from my s8 to s20+5g and had issue straight where the phone would not recognise the sim card for around 10 mins but recently wouldnt recognise it at all.So went into my phone provider(Optus in Aus)changed to a brand new sim card and recognised it straight away.So recommend changing to a new sim card first if you havent already done so

Galaxy S20 Seriesmy phone arrived on Tuesday and I've spent 2 days trying to get it to recognise my O2 SIM!!
I even tried two other SIMs - one from BT and one from Vodafone and neither are recognised. They work fine in the old phones but not in the S20.
I have also done a hard reboot and have done a full factory reset - NO JOY.
I hazard to say I am beginning to hate Samsung 😠

Galaxy S20 SeriesI just purchased my s20 plus on the 14th Aug 2020 and on the first day it wouldn't recognised my sim. Thought it was a software glitch so I reboot the phone and it worked until today 4 days later it did it again. I restart, power off, taken the sim out and it worked on another phone. Whilst I tried to contact Samsung support chat and got disconnected three times the phone recognised the sim after 3 hours. I did absolutely nothing and it some how fixed itself.
I did notice that when it does happen it's when the battery is low.
My concern is that if it is a known problem and it is happening on the first day after purchase then Samsung should be replacing these phones.
