Galaxy S20 SeriesSamsung Galaxy S20 Ultra phone is great the hardware too. but the camera software needs to get better, for a phone that costs a lot for the camera capabilities i gotta say that it doesnt do the job, it had one job, THE CAMERA .
the numbers on paper are different than the reality, the low light performance of the camera is horrible, comparing it to my brothers 1 year old Huawei P30 Pro it doesnt come near its night mode, especially the focusing issue and the level of night mode as the P30 Pro has a F/1.6 Aperture Super Spectrum Sensor and the camera needs a lot of future updates and needs to get better especially the night mode and low light pics. Again, the phone is that expensive because of that huge camera on its back, so this huge camera better be good ... I think a larger sensor that can process enough light and more options in the night mode setting like the ISO option and shutter speed and AI (Artificial Intelligence) option and the option to change the megapixel in the settings on night mode. My brothers P30 Pro has taken exceptional photos of the moon and stars. Please could your developers work on this to bring the loyal Samsung fans what we want and expect. I think Huawei uses a RYYB SENSOR PLUS and I think Samsung should use a better sensor for low light and night mode like a Sony one or a RYYB sensor plus. Could you introduce a Astrophotography mode on the camera (ASTRO MODE) for night time photography. The camera processing software needs really improving. Hope there will be more software updates. Thank you 😊😉

Galaxy S20 Seriesyou can really good astro pods by using a tripod and going into manual mode bringing exposure to 30seconds and the trying different ISOs

@ArcherLegend, Thanks for the tips and I think Samsung should go down the Huawei route and use a RYYB Super Spectrum Sensor (RED YELLOW YELLOW BLUE) and better software processing.

@ArcherLegend, Thanks for the tips and I think Samsung should go down the Huawei route and use a RYYB Super Spectrum Sensor (RED YELLOW YELLOW BLUE) and better software processing.
The RYYB sensor has upsides and downsides, samsung and huawei have 2 different sensor approaches so the RYYB may work for huawei but not for samsung which gives his best on the RGB sensors.
Software processing can be stepped up, yes, with a consideration do to for me: the picture must be processed slightly to enhance it not heavily processed and become something which the sensor never shooted.
I am quite sure that samsung will nail the software processing sooner or later, lets hope it is sooner

Galaxy S20 Seriesstill i cannot live with the fact that samsung ditched the dual aperture that was a game breaking feature.
If i let me i would add to your suggestions to add the dual aperture back or even make it a 3 stop aperture adding F1.8 to the ones already available on the s10 and s9 (F2.4 and F1.5)

Galaxy S20 SeriesWill certainly give that a mention to Samsung developers. We need a better phone to justify the price. 😁😉

Galaxy S20 SeriesOn top of that, about half the photos I take in great light and with no zoom are ruined by a digital sharpening effect. I have to say for 2K$ this is quite the rip off. The Camera does some good shots now and again but its luck of the draw and nothing that much better than previous devices I have had and a LOT less consistent.
The digital sharpening thing needs to be able to be turned off. It really ruins about half my photos. It looks like cheap commercial enlargement software that isnt even neccesary as its not zoomed in or anything.

Galaxy S20 SeriesI have the base S20 and I've always been pretty blown away by my night mode pictures. They're generally great. My biggest problem with these phones is the shutter speed and not being able to take a picture if anything at all moves in the frame.
