Hi there,
I am a long time user of the samsung smartphones eversince the first Galaxy S and now, coming from an s9+ to the s20, i feel ripped of by Samsung.
The camera has issues regarding photos, focus problem, shutter speed, blur issues when people move (normal, not running) plus the videos are shaking like hell and that is with my phone standing on a solid table.
I have applied all the updates and so far nothing, maybe some ruied vacation photos.
This is the last Samsung phone I will own, never again!
Why did the release the s20 line when there are clear issues with their cameras.
It's like buying a new car and finding out the ac or brakes work sometimes.
This is one of the major aelling pointa of their phones, the camera, and it is seriously flawed.
Hell, my ex ex s6 and s8 took way better photos not to mention the great ones from my s9+.
Goodbye samsung! Your greed got you!

Wow, seems worse than mine.
It's definately a lemon product. If I would have been american I would have started a lawsuit with them.

- Jump in camera while focusing
- Terrible Focus dynamic
- Absolutely broken color processing
+ many more problems.
Not sure why Samsung never addressed any of those issues on S20U

Update
I sent my brand new phone to my carrier's designated service center after backing up my data. In Romania, Telekom uses a company called Regenersis who has the lowest quality customer support ever. I made an appointment with Telekom and the courier came to pickup the phone. I explained in detail the simptoms(technical language too) heating when using camera, blurry photos, proximty sensor issues etc only to find out on the return service sheet that the declared defect was "no power" reply "not confirmed". They didn't answer the phone on 2 separate days and I was persistent. I guess since it was not the official Samsung warranty service I couldn' hold that against them but I am furios with Telekom and their premium buisness blabla.
I received the phone exactly how I sent in plus a hairlone mark on the lens that does't affect the sensor. (It was like new, even the factory fron and back plastic is still on and was used in the short 3 week trial only in an original samsing silicone case)
I then tried to think about my lost time and nerves and thought about trading the phone for an Iphone or Huawei, but I would loose about 300eur since it is considered used.
I the thought I should speak directly with Samsung Romania who have pretty good customer care guys that were empathic and said that I should use their service to check the phone.
So...I again placed it in a box along with a detailed paper that explained the defect plus I copied several videos and photos on the phot for reference.
I really hope the fix or replace this, will keep you guys posted.

Update september
I got the phone back from the Samsung official service.
They stated that they changed the camera, some kit and updated the firmware tot the latest version.
The camera is better, focuses ok now, still has some glitchea in prochessing and oversmoothing details, it is the same quality photo as on my s8 s9 or s10, the only thing it does better is night mode, other than that it is the same or even lower on the quality of photos.
Problem still persists, opening the cam app the phone starts to heat up quickly and the metal frame is almost burning. If the phone is like this and I get a call, I cannot hold it against my ear because it burns.
Battery is dropping faster when it start to heat up.
Using 120hz diaplay refresh, it starts to heat up even browsing the news.(I only use messaging app and chrome for news and articles).
I contacted Samsung again and the operator said they would open a complaint instead of sending it in a second time and that I will be contacted for a discussion.
I really want to see what is the official Samsung statement regarding these issues.
I bought it because they specified hardware and software worthy of a 2020 flagship and delivered a smartphone that can only be used with the 60hz refresh and operate the camera for under 1min without overheating.

+1 for this issue. Freshly bought S20, very bad camera performance.. blurry and noisy pictures, terrible focusing. I'm so disappointed. Flagship device right? 😞

They changed the camera on mine while in service with good results but still average at best.
