Clearly I don't understand why they didn't implement this (hide the notifications and display them as soon as the face or the finger is recognized) because we only get two options: force unlock the phone to deal with the notification, or don't hide the notifications details on the lockscreen. The first one isn't a good user experience at all, the second one is unsecure as hell. This is this kind of details which makes me regret my iPhone so much, and why Apple will still be number one for years to come. Samsung has a good hardware but lack of software innovation, integration and refinement.
Furthermore they already have implemented both features: hide the notification details on lockscreen + unlock the phone once biometric authentication is checked. They just have to merge those two features for crying out loud! And then, with a small effort we'll get the same behavior that makes a part of the iPhone success. Common Samsung, common! Give me access to the GIT repo and I'll code it for you!! 
I'm very frustrated by the Android world & ecosystem: manufacturers don't understand that the iPhone success is due to its software stack, and not the hardware. Always new phone with telescopic cameras, more then necessary resolutions, more powerful CPUs, more RAMs, ... but we want content, features, software, integration, ... ! And not Galaxy Themes or wallpapers, real features, useful on a daily basis. Let's build less smartphones, but increase the number of software releases and innovations: you guys will see the difference coming from your customer base.
