Samsung Clear View Cover with Google Messages and Phone

If I set my phone to use GM or GP instead of the Samsung apps I've noticed that they can't be used with the window case.

Does the clear view features only work with Samsung apps or has anyone got them working.

Unless third party apps are compiled to allow clear view features, they won't work.
