S20 ultra - Main camera and video SHAKE

Main camera preview and video all of a sudden shake like crazy resulting in blurry photos and wavy videos. 

I have not dropped or caused this phone any trauma. All the stabilization settings are on. And I have a steady hand.

I noticed there is no shake at all when i switch to the wide angle lens but the shake/waves are much worse when the 5x zoom mode is used.

The attached is the motion photo saved as gif to allow upload to this post. This is what i see when I open my camera app or any app that uses my camera. This VERY shaky camera started about a week ago. What is going on?

That's really strange, @Meganbda! Is the software on your phone up to date? Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Also, let's try a soft reset on the phone. This will end all processes and give the phone a fresh start. Press and hold the Volume Down and Power keys at the same time until the phone switches off and back on again.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, I've checked and the phone is up to date and I have done many soft resets since this issue started. Also, I have made sure to keep the camera lens clean as I read that may be the issue - but it is not. Upon inspection none of the rear cameras look to be damaged at all- yet when in the  1x (or higher) mode the camera jumps and wobbles around like crazy resulting in terribly blurry photos. 😞

I have the same problem in a 100 porcent

Ive got my s20 plus 1 month ago instead of a huawei phone, I dont feel any confortable whit this phone and I need a solution for this problem too.

I've got it only because of the camera to find that those Chinese phones are totally much better than this.. Very very upset!!!

I'm not happy either! This is doing the same thing on my s20 ultra! I hope it gets resolved!

My S20 is less than one month old and my video is shaky too! Ever since the first time I tried the new bling camera its been ORDINARY  at best. My first video was shaky. Checked settings  - stabiliser on - soft reset, software up to date, still a problem. I cant capture footage for work purposes and that affects our advertising as a small business. I'm up from the S7 Edge and am very disappointed with the S20. I can't even get a full day usage without the battery going flat - so have to put features or apps to sleep so I can at least receive & make calls in the afternoon until I get home to a charger. Then I have to hang around the charger in case a call comes in. I know I can get a car charger - but what's the point of having it in charge all day to keep it topped up. Brand new battery, followed the instructions for the first time charge - still lacking performance. Perfect business tool - Not. Any help would be appreciated,  im ready to make the switch if necessary,

this issue started for me today too without any warning. I filmed one video fine, then suddenly all my videos are shaky. doesn't matter which app I use to film

I have started having this issue too. I've had the phone 6 weeks and started having issues afew days ago when using the standard camera. Has anyone had an answer to this?

i have s20 plus and i have same issue. But...

When i turn off video stabilizer in settings, video shake is fixing. Did you try it? why i have to set off video stabilizer to fix video shake? thats the question... 😞

same problem with my new S20 phone. Is doing this from the first day.
