Since my phone updated this morning Audible stops when the screen goes black. It is fine while I am using the phone

Try going into App Info for Audible (long press on icon then press on the i in top right). Under 'battery', change it to unrestricted. That's what I did when Spotify would stop after around 30 seconds of screen going off. Had no issues since.

Thank you so much for your advice, it is even better than before. Your advice also helped my son as well who was having the same problem.
