S20 FE telephoto camera problem

Hi, I've been experiencing a weird problem with the S20 FE 5G telephoto lens. If I use the telephoto lens and hold the phone upside down (such as to take a ground level shot) the image in the viewfinder shakes a LOT without any shake to the actual phone itself, and it does so in columns/strips. The image also comes out with this shaken blur and the phone struggles to focus. If I do the exact same thing but holding the phone the right side up, everything is perfect and works great!?

I'm using OneUI 3.0, could someone please try it out and let me know if you see the same issue? As I'm pretty sure it's a software thing and it's quite peculiar!

Note: make sure the phone is actually using the telephoto lens (by blocking out the main lens with your finger) and hold the phone upside down (doesn't have to be close to the ground).

Happens to me aswell. Using the latest One UI and camera software. Turning stabilization on/off doesn't help

Glad to know I'm not the only one facing this issue. Wish more people would try it and comment. Samsung needs to fix this!

I have the same issue, new phone 20 days old. It's most visible on telephoto due the focal length, but if You look closely then You will find that it's from time to time affecting the main camera as well. I tried to get help through the telephone support. They advise me to stop a camera app and clear it's data, do a cache partition wipe. Both didn't helped. Then They advise me to do a hard reset, but this also failed to fix the problem. I will be trying to return the phone to the seller. Don't want to use a resealed phone after the service shop interference.

This post needs more engagement so that it gets noticed by Samsung

This is a hardware problem. I have send my phone to the Samsung service under warranty. First time they updated the software, which didn’t resolve problem. Second time they replaced the main board and cameras so basically the whole phones internals, now it's steady as it should be from the beginning. I also noticed that the autofocus is faster and more precise that it was before.

Soooo, the problem came back. I have a theory that if You are exposing the phone for vibration, like keeping it in the pocket while running or in the handlebar bag while biking it's simply loses calibration. Did anyone experienced this problem but not exposing their phone for any kind of strong vibration?
