S20 fe lag on 60 hurtz

ok so one thing I have noticed now after a week owning this phone is I have 2 choices.

1. Use 120 hurtz and the phone runs smoother but sacrifice battery life.

2. Use 60 hurtz ,the phone lags but get up to 9 hours screen on time.

What I have suspicions about if I'm honest is that all 120 hurtz does is speed up the processor and we are getting conned cos why on earth does 60 hurtz slow my phone down?

It should not do this at all just by switching a refresh rate .

I hope samsung are not using this as some kind of trickery because I've had other phones that are not bogged down when switching refresh rate .

It makes no sense.

This is why I like my N20 Ultra as the refresh rate is adaptive which helps with helping battery life as it switches up depending on what I'm doing.

It might be worth looking in your device care section under battery to see what's using your battery @Christo1986

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

I've tried both but prefer the faster refresh rate even though it does drain the battery.

I have checked and everything seems ok in the stats ,nothing out of the ordinary.

Its just almost as if 60 hurtz slows the whole phone down .

I have owned a s8 s8 plus s9 plus 2 s10 plus and I'm assuming they were 60 hurtz and the phones didn't act this way.

It literally has a snap dragon 865 in ,no way it should lag just by switching it from 120 to 60 .

I wish they had 90Hz option included as well, not sure if that is something Samsung can do via a future firmware update :smiling-face:
