S20 FE - Bluetooth issues since Android 11/One UI 3.0 update

Having Bluetooth issues since the update.

My car has two Bluetooth connections. The car itself has a phone headset connection for calls. And I also have an FM/Bluetooth device for music. Up to now, I've been able to have both connected, one enabled for calls, the other for music. All works great. The phone even auto-connects to both when I start the car.

But after the update, I can't stream music any more. It connects as usual, the app plays, looks like it's streaming to Bluetooth but no audio.

One thing I've noticed is if I restart the phone it works for a short while, but then stops again?

Any ideas?

I've factory reset it now, which has sorted the car Bluetooth issues for me.

Only factory reset can solve this problem? That's very weird because i have this problem too and don't want to setup everything again 😰

It did for me. I normally factory reset with major releases anyway.

You used to be able to delete Bluetooth data/cache (setup, apps, show system apps) but can't find it in 11.

Update.. Just stopped working again so not fixed by the reset 👎🏻

Mine has the same issue.

After update to android 11 it only works for few minutes and then cuts audio out.

Spotify and any other services looks like they still play but nothing is passing from Bluetooth speakers.  I thought it was just car Bluetooth but it looks like it affects headphones and speakers too.

Just set up the new phone I don't wanna re do everything again.

Reset network devices didn't help.

Anyone has other recommendations other then factory reset?

Thanks

Just tried all my Bluetooth devices. Nothing works now. All worked fine on Android 10.

Cant listen to music now in the car, earbuds, Bluetooth speaker or music streamer.

Whatever music app you use the progress bar sticks. Goes up a second then back again?

Looked into again this morning. Bluetooth works fine in safe mode, so something in my backups isn't migrating to Android 11 properly I reckon.

So factory reset again and I'll setting up as a new phone. All working OK so far.

Early days. Got lots of apps to put back on, but I've added all my BT headphones, music apps and the EQ apps that come with the headphones and it's working so far. Will let you know 🙂
