Galaxy S20 SeriesSince the update December. 16 2020 my dual sim is no longer functioning.
When sending SMS or Calling there should be two buttons for proceeding with SIM 1 or SIM 2 and that option is now removed. (and or bug?) this has persisted since the update regardless of restarting phone, and changing positions of the SIM. Both cards work to call out from and call in from, but the buttons are now gone.
Anyone else have this problem?

Galaxy S20 SeriesYep. I don't like it either but that's how they've left it. The only way to get around this is to go to Contacts, select the name you want and press the Information icon, there you have the option to choose which SIM to use. If there is another easier way, I'm not aware.

Galaxy S20 SeriesThe workaround is...
Settings > Connections > SIM card manager > Calls... select, "Ask always"
Then when it comes to making a call you will receive a pop-up asking... "Make calls with", and offering SIM 1 or 2

Galaxy S20 SeriesSame issue and the work around dosen't work with hands free in the car...
The update effectively deactivates the dual sim functionality.
Very sad.

Galaxy S20 SeriesFor the call "Ask Always" can be turn on in SIM manager, but not for text. This is painful to use, and they clamed the update increase our productive? At least turn on the the "Ask Always" for text.
The quickest way is swipe down from the top and change which sim card you want to use in text or change in the text setting before you send. It is good to know I am not the only one trouble by this.

Galaxy S20 SeriesThis "update" really made things worse. How annoying, before i could choose with 1 button, now they gifted us with one more click.
Thanks for the extra clicks ! 🤬😠

Galaxy S20 SeriesThank you ironass 😁 i was frustrated with this update but thanks for pointing out the option. I mean it at least lets me choose before making a call even if it is with an extra click...

Galaxy S20 SeriesYe this up date is backwards. I'm constantly texting from the incorrect sim. If some one texts u on line 1 but u have text default set as line 2 it will reply from the wrong number. Also if u select a pic to send via text it will go to send from default sim set but if u then go to change the sim from the menu it will delete the pic u were trying to send. Why don't they leave simple sh#t that works alone?

Galaxy S20 SeriesVery annoying, this extra click to switch between SIM cards while calling or SMS; got pushed to Note 10 and other devices too. !!!

Galaxy S20 SeriesWhat the hell Samsung... I just updated my S10+ and have also lost Dual Sim Messaging.
Having two buttons, one representing each Sim from which I can send a message through, was so convenient before. Like some other users I have a sim for my business and a sim for personal use, having to crawl my way through my phones menu system to activate one sim card so that I can message a client and then crawl back though the menu system to switch to the other sim so that I can message my friends and family, then switching back to my business sim to answer my clients reply, etc, etc... just isn't practical.
Trying to save some space in the new GUI? Just stack the second sim button above or below the first... you save space... we have are dual sim messaging back.
