Galaxy S20 Series

Hi all,

Have had most galaxy flagship phones from the s2 to the s20. But I'm disappointed with my new s20. It seems to over saturate colours, especially red. As can be seen below. Does anyone else get this?

Only way around it seems to be using pro and RAW mode. But i don't want to do that. I should be able to just take pictures like before. My S9 took better pictures.

I think it depends on one's own eye in regards to how a phone creates a photo  @Adamv

To my eye both look fine but I submit people see different interpretations of an image.

I've seen quite a few YouTube videos and Tech Blogs from people who discuss image saturation amongst other aspects of an image for Samsung Phones and iPhones as well as other makes and models.

I dismiss no opinion.

Perhaps send your feedback via the Samsung Members App too.

I hope you find the right balance.

Thanks. But i think the issue for me is that the picture taken RAW is more representative of the actual colours of the artical. Therefore making the more saturated image look unnatural and infact loses detail in the shadows.

How would i contact samsung? would they even do anything about it?  I am even tempted to return the phone and stick with my S9!

Through the Samsung Members App.

You would  need to checl any available returns period in that case @Adamv

Thanks. I have only had it a week so should be no problem. I have a 14 day returns policy.

Same observation on my S20. I just separated from my S9 and the photos were much more realistic. I hope that an update will rebalance the rendering of the image.

Does anyone know if Samsung has resolved this with any update or something? I just bought mine last week and still have this problem. Pictures are awfully saturated in colours. If not, I might consider it returning as one of the selling points of this phone has been the camera which has this problem.

Had the same encounter with my s20u, red is way too much.

I have no idea how to contact Samsung on this issue of over saturated images. Why is this coloring not an option for the people who like. If there is no way that this can be fixed I have to return the phone. For €850 I expect some camera quality.
