S20+ audio issues - sound coming from ear speaker only

I have the S20 plus and I'm having issues with the audio. If I go to watch a video the sound will come from the ear speaker. To get it to come out of the actual speaker I have to restart my phone. Does anybody have a resolution for this issue?

I am having same issue with my s20+ . When I try to play any music, the sound comes only from the ear speaker. I also need to restart my device in order to fix this. If anyone could provide me a solution.

Have had the exact same problem. Very frustrating. Often happens in the middle of a whatsapp video call.

I also have this problem on a galaxy s20+ usually when switching audio between the phone and my galaxy watch active2.
Sometimes after having transfered spotify to the watch all the audio on the phone comes through the ear speaker.

Same issue here. This typically happens after ending a phone call. If I toggle Bluetooth devices that sometimes sets things straight. The quickest fix so far is opening the app switcher and closing all open apps. Regardless this is hugely annoying. Just installed update #3 today for my S20+ and this problem is still persistent. Hope to see a fix from Samsung for this soon!

OK! I cant find any help with this.... are ANY of you having any issues with the sound coming from the camera? or am I just a newb and is this what phones are doing? 

When I talk on the phone to someone - its coming from the back of the phone... and i have no clue what to do..

From your camera?? Are you sure? It might be the phone case you have is blocking the top speaker? I dont know though. Definitely odd.

While I am here I havent experienced the problem in a long time. Still very confused.

I am having this issue too it started this morning it will it fixes itself when I restart my phone but after watching a few videos it will go back to the sound coming out the ear speaker.  This needs to be fix asap

I got the same issue on my S20ULTRA. It might happen because of while I talk in LINE and another friend call me in WhatsApp. After this situation finished seem sounds redirect to phone speaker.

Hope there is a toggle to reset the sound back to normal.

Just got a brand new S20 and this happened after a few days of use.  Resetting fixed it but I hope it's not a common issue and can be quickly addressed.

Same issue here on s20.

1. Youtube PiP starts playing: LOW sound on ear speaker.

2. In an active Whatsapp call on speakerphone.  FB Messenger call comes in (not answered) and volume switches to ear speaker - this happened today, TWICE.

3. In FB messenger on ear speaker.  Call comes in from the phone's antenna (sim) and sound quits.. loud ringtone right in my ear!

ANNOYING.  Phone quick restart is the only way to get sound back to normal.

Same problem. Right speaker fluctuates volume then just stops while watching videos. Needs to restart to fix it but doesn't take long for right speaker to stop again

Hey everyone. I just claimed a new one trough warranty. It is still under 1 year of manufacturer's warranty. My new one doesn't have any issues. They said it might be a motherboard problem since I can't connect my phone to a computer.

Good  luck guys. Took me awhile to argue with samsung's costumer service. They keep on asking me to do stuff which I told them I did multiple times. Best way to do it is to claim through your cellphone provider if you bought it through them.

same here for my 10 days old  S20 Plus.  All sound suddenly comes from Earpiece only. So annoying from such a premium device with a hefty price tag. Long term iphone user for 5 years ,just shifted to samsung and this happens to be end result.Bad Decision . Going back to Apple.

This worked on my S20+ to resolve the issue of speakers only coming from the earpiece.

I just had the same issue on my Note 20 Ultra. I plugged in my headphones and then unplugged them and that seemed to fix it. It would be nice to know what's causing this.
