S20+ 5G CONSTANTLY RESTARTING!!!!!

I guess if you're reading this then your phone is doing the same. Randomly freezing for about 30 seconds then restarting. 

I purchased this phone in December 2020, the Samsung S20+ 5G sim free for £749. Yes Samsung listen- £749!!!

Overall I think the phone is brilliant. It's quick, slick, packed with features,  speed  and an amazing camera. 

However, all its amazing features are completely useless when the phone becomes almost unusable when it repeatedly keeps restarting! My phone is doing this around 3 or 4 times an hour! It's utterly frustrating and completely random. 

It does it while loading or playing games, while trying to browse the Internet ,while trying to make a call, while simply opening up different apps on the phone, even while doing absolutely nothing! It even did it yesterday when I  first turning it on in the morning. Yes it restarted while starting. It's poor, it's broken, the phone doesn't work properly and Samsung need exposing for their inability to recognise the problem and sort it out. 

I have now read numerous posts of Samsung customers (Yes, customers Samsung. Take note of the word customers!) going back well over a year experiencing the same problem and guess what, nothings changed. 

The Internet is awash with explanations and you tube videos of how to try to resolve it, of which I have tried everything but nothing works! AND THAT'S BECAUSE IT'S BUST!!

Before you reply to me Samsung, don't tell me to turn off auto restart because its off, don't tell me to update software because its updated, don't tell me to start in safe mode because it still restarts in safe mode, don't tell me to send it for a repair because another CUSTOMER already did that, twice, and guess what it still restarts. Just get your act together and give an update that truly works!!

I am now going to expose this issue in every way I can. You're brushing it under the carpet and ignoring your customers. The phone is not fit for purpose and as consumers we have rights when faulty goods are knowingly sold. 

What happens when someone needs to make an urgent call and the phone randomly restarts? What happens when they're injured or worse because of your ineptitude?

GET THIS SORTED SAMSUNG ITS UNACCEPTABLE AND DISGUSTING THAT YOU BURY YOUR HEADS AND CONTINUALLY GET AWAY WITH THIS. WELL NO MORE!!

Complete joke. New update and restarted within a minute. Now Samsung has stopped me creating a new post as they don't want their pathetic inept phones being exposed!!!!

The s*** at Samsung are still trying to stop me exposing their fraud by selling broken phones. You are all fraud inept pathetic and I'm going to laugh when I get compensation for you selling broken goods. Be ready!! Ha ha!!!!

Hi. I completely agree with you. I had my S20 fe5g for less than 2 months. It dropped a call. Tried to restart multiple times and screen going black. Eventually sent back for repair. Was told that they couldn't repair it so offered me a used replacement.... I told them where to stick it... I am now 50 days without my S20 and still no resolution... Why can't someone please be accountable for this inferior product....

Hi guys I just wanted to mention that something similar happened to my S21. And in my case, it was related to the way I charged my phone. So, I had this very long zoom meeting and my phone was dying so I plugged my phone to a USB port extender plugged to my laptop. My phone was charging super slow probably for an hour or two. After that the random shutting down started nonstop. I restarted, clean the phone app cache, nothing worked.  I found the solution: Just properly charge your phone! So I just turned my phone off and plugged to my Anker fast charger  and let it plugged until it hit the 85% (I have that option on to extend the battery life) And this fixed the problem . I too am Facing the same issue. Multiple times restarting without any specific pattern. tried all the steps mentioned on net. No Change..just bought the phone 2 months ago.

Hi everyone and thanks for all your replies to my rant! My phone issue was resolved by being issued with a new handset. The story goes I purchased the phone new form chitter chatter. After months of restarting and no help from Samsung I went back to them as they give offer a lifetime warranty to faulty goods. To be fair they were very helpful and gave me a Samsung contact number to discuss repair. I spoke to a representative at Samsung and they actually told me that it could not be repaired as my actual handset was a non EU product and none of their repair centres would entertain it as they wouldn't be able to get parts. I went back to chitter chatter told them and they swapped my handset without argument and has been perfect ever since. It turns out non EU products have different chipsets not recognised by our networks and causes constant crashes of the phone. They knew my phone was non EU from its box serial number. In short go back to where you bought it and hope they help like chitter chatter did. Good luck. G.
