@shorty61: Try heading to Settings > Battery and Device Care > Device Protection > Scan Phone to see if this flags any malware or suspicious activity. For peace of mind you could consider performing a factory reset via Settings > General Management > Reset > Factory Data Reset, however please make sure that you backup your data first of all in Settings > Accounts and Backup.
